credit reports
lrpharm54 asked:

You fill out the forms and at the end they ask for a credit card number. What a sham and outrageous kick in the face. They are nothing but liars.

annualcredit report, com is the only free one and you can access it only once a year. it covers all 3 but equifax never seems to work.

They are not lying. You do get your free credit report. But it is a “Trail” and the credit card is just used if you are to keep your account.

Then you are not going to the “credit reporting agencies” you are going to some third party! IF the CRA you would get one annual report, some places 2, free without having to use a credit card.

They are not liers, you are missing the point. They’ll give you a free report and you get one free month at most places.
But if you don’t cancel up the free trial then they’ll bill you. They are counting on that, but you are free to cancel as per contract (if you just read it)

No, you are just not reading the print. Most of the credit agencies state that you are enrolling into a credit monitoring program with a fee to get access to free credit reports. If you do not read the full contract then it is your fault for ignorance instead of them being liars.
