Question by jazzy_faye: Can you dispute items on your credit report that is taken from Freetriplescore.com?
Its the three-in-one that tells you your score and negative items in each credit report. But since the information is merged, would that be acceptable to use when trying to file a dispute or claim any inaccuracies?Im talking about writing dispute letters to the individual bureus for them to to investigate things that are inaccurate and wrong on my reports. I know you have to send in a copy of your credit report to the bureu, im wondering if they would accept this merged document…

If you have cleared liabilities that are still on your credit score; yes, you can contact the company in question and ask them to de-register their claim on your report. They seem to take their own sweet time in removing these registrations. Its a good idea to check in on your report at least once a year and these will clear eventually. They do take their time however.

How do you properly dispute an old credit card account to eliminate it from your credit report?

Question by : How do you properly dispute an old credit card account to eliminate it from your credit report?
I know that staying on top of your credit report is essential to establishing a better credit score and that keeping tabs on it and outdated or old delinquent credit card accounts is a step to take. I heard that if you dispute those, they can sometimes be eliminated from your credit report. Is this possible and what is the appropriate or efficient to do this?

The first thing you’d need to do is to check the statute of limitations (SOL) in your state. If an account is still within SOL then it wouldn’t be a wise move to dispute it.As long as something is reporting “accurately” then there would be nothing to dispute. Though many times it doesn’t appear that the CRA’s or data furnishers know, or care, what accuracy is. If something is reporting inaccurately then you have a legal right to dispute that inaccuracy. You should read through the FCRA to learn about credit reporting. You might also do some reading in the Credit Forum on the site I’ve posted in the source box.

Question by Jim J: What words should I use to dispute incorrect reporting date, balance or credit limits on my credit report?
Should I aim to get it completely deleted by stating it’s not mine? If not, how specific do I need to be with what is incorrect within a credit report listing?

The wording doesn’t really matter, just state the reason. If you file too many disputes on one report, the attribute bureau may consider it a frivilous report and treat it as such. But if you submit it with evidence proving the are truely errors, they must investigate it.This site also provide some tips about this -http://buildcredit.ifastnet.comTake care.
